What is IBO Player and how does it work?
IBO Player (and its paid version IBO Player Pro) is an IPTV player app. It does not include channels; it plays the playlist of your IPTV provider. Unlike IPTV Smarters Pro, where you type username, password and server URL, IBO Player identifies your device with a MAC address and a Device Key. Your provider uploads the playlist to your device through the IBO Player website, and the channels appear on your TV. That is why IBO Player is so easy for beginners.
Step 1: Install IBO Player on your device
- Samsung Smart TV: open the Samsung app store, search for IBO Player and install it.
- LG Smart TV: open the LG Content Store and install IBO Player.
- Android TV, Google TV, Android box: install IBO Player from the Google Play Store.
- Fire TV Stick: install IBO Player from the Amazon Appstore or with the Downloader app (see our Fire TV Stick guide).
Step 2: Find your MAC address and Device Key
Open IBO Player. On the start screen you see two codes: the MAC address (for example 1a:2b:3c:4d:5e:6f) and the Device Key (six characters). Take a photo of the screen or write both down. Do not close the app yet.
Step 3: Send us the codes

Step 4: We upload your IPTV playlist
Our team uploads your playlist (M3U or Xtream Codes) to your device on the IBO Player platform. You do not have to type anything. This usually takes a few minutes. Step 5: Restart the app and start watching

Tips for IBO Player
- EPG: the TV guide loads with the playlist. If it is empty, go to Settings › EPG and refresh.
- Favourites: long-press a channel to add it to favourites, ideal for the Bundesliga matchday.
- Parental control: lock adult groups with a PIN in Settings.

IBO Player problems and solutions
- Playlist does not load: check that the MAC address you sent is correct (the app shows it on the start screen) and restart the app after one minute.
- Channels freeze: restart the TV and the router; if the problem continues, switch the player engine in Settings.
- Expired message: the IBO Player activation or your IPTV subscription has ended. Contact our support and we sort it out.
